Mike installed our Hetas log burner stove recently and he is very friendly and professional. He knows what he is talking about, he was able to tell us everything we needed to know about how to work the stove etc as we are beginners and made it very simple to understand. Super easy process he did everything even staining the oak beam to go above the fire and fitting. Nothing was too much trouble! He is coming back to fit out staircase too! I would highly recommend Mike, he is honest and reliable and provides an outstanding service. I have attached a before and after photo.
I was looking to upgrade my very old multi-fuel stove with something new and modern, and found Mike's details on the HETAS website. From the minute I messaged him, to the beautiful end result you can see below the service was absolutely exceptional. Mike came around to look at the old stove, and promptly provided a very reasonable quote. He gave me options to procure the stove through himself but also was honest enough to admit that he couldn't beat a really good deal I had on eBay for a multi-fuel stove. There was no hard sell, or pressure - I procured the stove and Mike handled the decommissioning of my old stove, and the installation of the new one. Mike fought with the inclement weather to make good my old chimney and remove the old liner, and always arrived at my house on time and with a great attitude and such a warm friendly manner. It's clear he loves what he does, and he's passionate about ensuring that any stove he installs is tested and passes the highest possible standards set by HETAS. He also took the time to explain all the tests he was carrying out. I threw Mike the odd curve ball - mainly asking him to install a fireplace chamber (which is highly recommended as it sets off the stove lovely)! Mike took this on without any issues, and ensured the chamber panels were cut to size and installed perfectly in my fireplace. If you're looking for a tradesperson at the top of their game, who is reliable and who produces top quality work at a fair price - look no further than Mike. I've already asked him to quote for some other work on my house, and he'll be my go to going forward. Thanks again Mike!
Excellent service from Mike & Ricky! Full fitted kitchen supplied by Leekes and installed by the boys. On time, without drama and even put up with a puppy bulldog running around!

We needed some custom carpentry and were recommended to use Mike and Ricky. From the first meeting through the whole process till they finished they were fantastic and the quality of their work was exceptional! We had a full wall media unit, cupboards and shelving built by them and are so happy with everything they’ve done! If you need any carpentry, I would highly recommend using Mike and Ricky!

Mike fitted and installed 5 white doors and an oak door downstairs. The finish is excellent and only perfection would do. Mike also rehung and repaired 3 other oak doors that were installed incorrectly, which had been installed a few months prior. Mike was responsive to messages and helped with any questions I had about installation. 5 stars is an understatement Mike was also the cheapest by far. I will be using him again.

Mike is a lovely guy and a fantastic carpenter. Mike installed a built in wardrobe for us in our bedroom, some built in cupboards in our dining room and some cupboards in our loft. He also did some small jobs for us whilst being on site, such as putting up shelving units. We are delighted with his work and would recommend him to any of our friends and family.
We had Mike in to do all the doors, door frames, and skirting in our extension and also some corrective work in the kitchen. Communication was good and I'm very happy with the quality of the work. The price was very reasonable. Highly recommended.
I used Mike to install my new kitchen and he did a fantastic job of it. He was very easy to get on with, communicated everything, reliable, and none of the little jobs were too small. I have him coming back to do my stairs, and will have him in whenever I need additional work doing.
I have used Mike Thomas Carpentry in both domestic and commercial environments on several occasions and have always been highly impressed with the service received from both quality and cost perspectives. From laminate flooring, general carpentry works in schools and public buildings, bespoke construction of doors and gates, and general builder's work in connection, works have always been completed professionally and within agreed timescales. A trustworthy and friendly business that I would highly recommend.

Just keep them supplied with coffee and biscuits and they do a fantastic job. All hardwood doors fitted as original estimate. Very high standard of carpentry. I was very pleased with the work.

Mike replaced two horrible, white plastic, internal windowsills with bespoke natural wood ones. I really like them - they give a wholly different feel to the room. I can completely recommend Mike's services as a carpenter.
